Located within the historic downtown district of Aiken, St. John’s UMC realized a need to expand the existing facilities to accommodate the rapid growth of the church and associate ministries. The new 35,000 square foot multipurpose educational and parish hall space incorporates a 10-classroom licensed daycare facility, youth activity spaces, adult meeting rooms, and a multi-purpose parish hall/gym. An extensive renovation of the existing 30,000 square-foot education facility includes a new church office suite, adult classrooms, a parlor and dining/meeting rooms. On-site parking development as well as a brick and wrought iron enclosed courtyard and playground complete the current church campus masterplan.
