Interior design is an integral part of every architectural project we undertake, so our team includes in-house interior designers with more than 25 years’ of experience. Beyond the careful selection and coordination of interior finishes, our interiors team provides guidance for furniture selection and specification, building signage, as well as interior project management and scheduling.

Developing a Master Plan is the first step in creating a complete and coherent vision for the future. Whether planning for a university, church, or urban campus, it’s crucial to involve many voices when creating a complete and cohesive vision for the future. We are committed to engaging leadership, user groups, and stakeholders early in the process of brainstorming and collaboration to distinguish the goals and ideals that will ultimately define the project’s success.

A thorough analysis of a site or building during the due diligence period ensures a project is viable. We provide in-depth feasibility studies that evaluate site constraints, new building test fits, existing building systems analysis, space programming, concept designs, exterior images, cost estimates, and construction schedules. Strong feasibility studies can communicate the project vision and aid fundraising efforts. We incorporate input from engineering and construction consultants in our analysis to bring the project that much closer to realization.

Preservation and adaptive reuse of historic buildings has been one of our niche areas of expertise since we rehabilitated our own 1890s office building in 2003. Since then we’ve helped clients across South Carolina successfully navigate the often complex world of historic tax credits and adaptive reuse. This work has earned our firm numerous local, state, and regional awards for historic preservation and adaptive reuse.

Environmentally-conscious design practices permeate our work. Product selection, regional awareness, and incorporation of new technologies all inform our design practice. With seven USGBC LEED Accredited Professionals on our staff, our team has led and managed multiple sustainable and LEED-certified projects. We actively work to incorporate Well Building criteria, ensuring projects stay on the cutting edge of sustainability standards and forward-looking practices.
